Stewart Schafer

Stewart Schafer graduated in 1985 from the University of Calgary with a degree in Civil Engineering and is currently the Director of Utility Services for the City of North Battleford. In his professional career, Stewart has been involved in numerous municipal projects while working as a technical advisor for the Battlefords Tribal Council and as a project engineer with the City of Saskatoon Utility Services. During that time, Stewart was known for developing unusual solutions and thinking “outside the box”. In 2008, Stewart joined the City of North Battleford and during the 2016 oil spill, Stewart was one of the main people from the City who was involved with implementing a water solution for the City.
